Female
Infertility
By Nicholas Jones
When a couple fails to conceive after one year of regular, unprotected
intercourse the couple may have the problem called infertility.
In that case the medical tests done on both the man and the woman
will reveal who, among the pair is infertile. Whereas in men the
quantity as well the quality of sperm is responsible for infertility
the same thing with women is far more complex. Scientifically 90%
of infertile pairs may know the reasons behind their infertility
but deciding infertility factors for the rest 10% is still not possible
due to the complexity of the nature of female infertility. Better
to say, with the help of the other forms of treatment the infertility,
if the reason is defined, is curable.
Along with the
aforementioned reasons there are many other causes to affect the
female fertility. Factors like age, weight and excessive exercise,
lifestyle that includes smoking, drinking alcohol, taking drugs
and even enjoying sex with several partners, stress and emotional
factors and most importantly the environmental risks or hazards
such as exposure to pesticide and any other chemical are mostly
effective in female infertility. The scientific examination in US
reveals that 10.3% of women between the ages of 15 to 44 faces infertility
related problems and the percentage is increasing.
It has been
again estimated in a scientific calculation that in 2025 the number
of infertile women will reach 7.7 million. The most enlightened
part of this topic is that if the infertility is defined at the
earliest possible stage it’ll be cured soon either with well-known
medical services or with some other forms of treatment.
